Tom Arnold & Kevin Hart Jump on Soul Plane

Tom Arnold is in final talks and Kevin Hart is set to join the cast of the urban comedy Soul Plane for MGM and director Jessy Terrero. The urban spin on the classic Airplane! goes into production late next month.

Arnold would play Mr. Hunkee, the patriarch of a family mistakenly rerouted from another airline and put on the urban airline's maiden flight only to find they are the only white people on board.

Hart will play Dakwon, a young man who parlays a $600 million lawsuit into his own urban airline. With a history of failed enterprises, the success of the airline and winning back his ex-girlfriend, Giselle, depend on the success of the maiden flight.

Snoop Dogg will play the plane's pilot and Method Man is Dakwon's best friend.
